Anton, Turn Away ...

Although unconfirmed, it looks as though Midtown are dead. In an interview with guitarist Heath, while over here with Senses Fail, he claims "one person in particular took all the control of the band" and infers he won't be re-joining the band in the near future.

In an exclusive interview with PT, he said: "Towards the end of Midtown, it veered far away from any sort of resemblance to a democracy that it once had. One person in particular took all the control and the rest of us were just kinda stuck there trying to give input and being shut down at almost every turn. It got to the point where i stopped writing at all because i knew that none of my songs would make it to the record anyway. Being in Senses Fail has given me the opportunity to get creative again."

Panic! At The Disco! Talk New Album

Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie says to "expected the unexpected" from the group's sophomore album, which the Las Vegas quartet plans to start working on in January.

"The next album is going to be stuff that we've never tried before," Urie tells Billboard.com. "That's the stuff that interests us in our music -- just exploring new instruments we've never tried and new sounds that are appealing to us. You'll find a lot of stuff you'd never expect. We hope to please, and we're gonna spend a lot of time on it."

Urie says he, guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker have started exchanging musical ideas, though no full songs have been written yet. "We've thrown a few ideas around," he says, "It's not something we're going to use for the record but just something that will push us in that direction."

Urie also notes that Ross and drummer Spencer Smith have been taking piano lessons. "We're all trying to improve as musicians," the singer notes. "I like to say we surprise ourselves every day. We try to take control of our own destiny, I guess."
